Originally from the south and now based, if one can use
that term, on the west coast. Like a rollin' stone never gathering
moss, Michael roams from California to Washington, writing, playing,
and recording.
Discovered by Ant O'Shea, producer and Magpie boss man, by chance on
Garageband.com, Michael was
signed, unseen, on the strength of his home made music. Ant was
impressed by these simple, pure and original songs and recognised a
true star potential.
By utilising broadband and
Yahoo! Messenger
to transfer recording session files, Ant set about capturing the
magic of Michael's music in what must be the first album recorded
entirely across the Internet. The fruits of these labours can be
heard in two releases from Michael, the single Everlasted, and the
album, Pass It On.
No doubt unique and a potential wild card, Michael Sean Osborn has a
style and presentation that involves his audience, with
a sound that could be described as both electrofolk and
alternative.
Vocally, lyrically, and musically solid, with numerous
influences, giving credit to his Grandfather and family, and always
evolving toward a more creative edge, closer to his art, music, and
self.
